1. Offset your flight by opting to make it carbon neutral.

This often involves a small extra charge which is calculated on the distance you fly. This charge is then donated to a carbon offsetting scheme provider. Popular providers include the Carbon Neutral Company and Climate Care.

2. Consider going to a green resort. Save Our Snow have produced a great guide to green snow destinations – providing impartial information on their eco schemes in resort.

3. Treat your chalet like you would your home. Use recycling bins if they’re provided and switch off lights, TV etc. when you leave the room.

4. Book a ski holiday in France in the La Clusaz resort. It’s the first ski resort to offer an electric, eco friendly ski-doo.

5. Wear green clothing! Enviro Gadget sell a solar powered ski jacket so you can stay green without even realising it. Solar panels on the jacket can be used to charge mobiles, phones and other devices connected by USB.
