EcoTourism Policies

The resort is the first in Mukteshwar which brought the destination on the tourism map, thus uplifting the local community.

It employs 100% local labour & services. Some of the current employees have worked as a labourers with the project & are with us for the last 18-20 years.

Entire resort uses compact Fluorescent lamps (CFL) minimizing energy (saving 80% Electricity).

Water is from a Natural spring source & collected by harvesting rain water. Water usage guidelines are displayed in each room. Towels / Linen suggested not to wash everyday. Cisterns are set at water saving levels. The architecture is absolutely vernacular & blends with the village surroundings. These are ground level cottages only & has minimal impact on the natural surroundings.

Waste is segregated as WET & DRY. Wet is used for manure in our orchard & Dry is transported to municipal dumps for recycling.

No chemicals or inorganic fertilizers are used only natural manure. Eco Soap/Shampoo is purely herbal to avoid chemical discharge.

Dos/Don'ts to protect environment are displayed on two Information Board at the reception itself. This makes guests aware of Hotel environmental programmes & learn to respect local people culture & traditions. Only paper bags are used in our gift shop. There are no TVS in the rooms. Old sheets & towels are cut to create cleaning rags. When we took over the 2-1/2 acres land to build a resort the greenery is now at least 3 folds with almost over 100 fruit trees.
