H.E.L.P. Travel Projects and Missions

H.E.L.P. TRAVEL is a non-profit association whose main goal is to create various journey-missions aiming to bring solidarity and aids to West African populations, mainly in Senegal and the proximity.

H.E.L.P. TRAVEL is an optimistic project aiming to embellish the world by the creation of links of friendship and respect, thanks to our multiple human & humanitarian missions.

The Trip

We have studied and created a platform of basic and simple missions, on a week/two weeks stay basis ; the sojourn with us is organized with days full of excursions, visits and sounds ; the main and unique goal of these missions is the development of human relationships, source of Self-Enhancement.

There is no need for particular or specific skills to fully participate in these actions of ours : the real meaning is the chance given of feeling the Magic that lays inside a simple gesture.

The mission is organized in a way that will be finished and accomplished when the Donor is here with us ; he will directly participate to the completing of the action ; He will get to know all of the people he helped, in an atmosphere of joy and happiness ;
He will have the chance to really feel the beauty that lingers in this side of the world, as his Goodwill will open all doors.

Usual solidarity tours take people in areas where a project is already in stand ; with H.E.L.P. Travel actions, the humanitarian mission is unique, as it wouldn’t take place without the participant’ donation.

These projects are conceived in a way that all of the resources are redistributed among local populations : families, workers and artists, they all happily participate to our missions.

We would be more then glad to introduce you to our basic mission styles, in the likes of sponsoring a new born baby baptism party , providing sport gears to a local team, improve the business conditions of women from the local food markets, or bringing a whole set of furnitures to a local school class ; all of these actions are of a main importance for local populations, and the donors will fully enjoy the warm atmosphere of joy and partying coming out of it.

The participant will dive into an exquisite and exclusive adventure, full of colours, images and good vibes ; he will be taken to places and landscapes totally unknown to ordinary tourism circuit : that is because we have been living in this Country since 1989, and we have developed a network of true and reliable social relationships.

Our Guesthouse can welcome up to 8 people, as it features 4 private double bedrooms with en-suite ; various common areas are on the premises, indoors and outdoors.

English, French and Italian are fluently spoken.

All of our initiatives tend to be achieved to bring well-being’s to each of the participants.

A visibility of your donations is important to us: we will bring you then inside the discovery of Africa, out of the ordinary tourist and commercial circuits, always giving you the chance to participate to a humanitarian action.
Employ the budget usually dedicated to ordinary vacations towards the discovery of the genuine Africa: enjoy the views of preserved landscapes and environments, live a unique experience with the act of bringing joy to men, women and children with whom you will live a tale of sharing and feelings.

The funding of your Project of Journey will be settled by a donation. The sum varies according to the length of the stay and the importance of the mission.

The totality of your donation will be invested as follows:
• 60% for the financing of your stay
• 20% will be given to local populations
• 20% for the organization fees.

The donation includes: full room and board, total financing of your humanitarian mission, plus all trips, excursions and journeys scheduled in the H.E.L.P. TRAVEL project.

Not included: round trip flight to Dakar and the following transfer to Ziguinchor; all personal expenses and purchases, as art objects, souvenirs and beverages.
We will gladly support you through the search of the best offers and conditions for your transfer from your Home to Ziguinchor.

Thanks to these links and inter-cultural exchanges we have also various medium and long term projects, like the construction of a social-educative centre for autistic children in Ziguinchor, in the south of Senegal.

Eco-policies:

- We are fully aware of world's water shortage, and apart from cutting any kind of waste and overusage, we sensibilize our visitors on this very important issue;

- Energy and fuel consumption are on the lowest level : no airconditioning, TVs, and no large electrical supplies are on our Guesthouse ; we promote walking, biking and the beauty of a starred sky without electrical pollution!!

- We are totally against the negative impact of tourism into a foreign environment ; we not only avoid and fight any form of waste left-overs on nature, we also teach on how to not pollute other cultures , without any aggressive impact on local populations and societies : Africa nurtures many of the still left independent and untamed cultures, and we are on their side !!

- Regarding local economy improvements, please note that all of our projects are given in full charge to local workers communities : craftsmen, painters, plumbers, artists, dancers, daily duties activities ; they are all involved in our actions ; not only the missions are for the local populations, but all of the revenues are distributed among them.
