Leopard Track Safaris is run by Allen Hallett who is a fully licensed professional guide. Allen is passionate about Africa’s Wildlife, having spent most of the last 35 years guiding people through the Wilderness areas of Zululand and Botswana.
Over the years he has gathered an impressive amount of knowledge and information on the flora and fauna that occurs in our natural areas. Allen has many stories to tell of close encounters whilst on bush trails in South Africa. You should come and sample some memorable evenings under our African sky around our campfire listening to the night sounds.
Those memories still will stay with you forever.
Leopard Track Safaris specializes in unique, personalized tours throughout
south and southern africa tailored to meet your individual requirements.
A trip to the vast game reserves and endless wilderness areas of africa is for some, a once in a lifetime experience. We will therefore go out of our way to ensure that the planning of your safari is taken care of down to the last detail, so that we can give you a truly memorable safari.
The lodges and camps that we take our guests to all offer a wide variety of meals of the best quality and variety with a typically south african flavour, you are welcome to come and enjoy some african hospitality while we barbeque (braai) a tender steak in the wilds of the imfolozi game reserve on the banks of the black umfolozi river in zululand.

We offer tours to the
following areas: south africa, swaziland, mocambique, zimbabwe and botswana.
Whether your interest is tracking rhino on foot in zululand, petting a live
cheetah in mpumalanga, looking for rare birds along the elephant coast of
kwazulu natal or spending a day in a mokoro (dugout) in the endless expanse of
the okavango delta wilderness, we can make this happen with our expert guidance
and attention to detail.
From the cape winelands and table mountain to the zulu villages of the zululand elephant coast, the hluhluwe and imfolozi game reserves (renowned for rhino conservation) and onto the st. lucia (isimangaliso) wetland park which is now a ramsar world heritage Site Then further north to the world famous kruger national park and the panorama route through the mpumalanga drakensberg.
Kruger national park covers an area of +- 8000 square miles and is home to the largest elephant population in south africa, about 13000 in total, along with all the “big 5”.
In the heart of southern africa we have the country of botswana. This is what I call “big sky” country where you can drive for hours without seeing another person in the kalahari desert. This is home to the khoi san bushman who goes about life today just as they did many years ago.
We organize tours through the central kalahari spending time learning about their unique culture. then onto the vast waterways of the okavango delta, teeming with wildlife in their natural environment – hippo, crocodile, elephant, lion zebra and so many more. This is a birdwatchers paradise of fisheagles, jacana’s and a myriad of insects and fish that support this truly unique ecosystem.
As we safari on through the moremi game reserve and the chobe you will become seasoned to the way of africa where the pace is relaxing as you sit under a giant camel thorn savouring this amazing vista that is the true african wilderness.
The beat of africa is never stronger than as you approach the mighty victoria falls, listening to the roar of the water as it cascades over this amazing rock fault that makes this an amazingly spectacular sight. these are just some of the destinations and activities that leopard track safaris has to offer.
We would be very happy to put together a perfectly tailored tour for you at the right price according to your budget.
“WILDERNESS is a natural enviroment on earth that has not been
significantly modified by human activity”
Leopard Track Safaris’ mandate is to take guests to natural and cultural areas to enjoy these wonders and learn about them in a relaxed manneer, whilst not causing any negative effects to the natural enviroment. By making the usage sustainable goes towards protecting these areas for future generations.
We as eco-tour operators encourage our guests to fully enjoy their tour, marveling at some of Africa’s most awsome creatures, vistas and local tribes. This is a unique experience not to be taken lightly.
The Zulu’s have a marvellous saying which is: “THINTA INJENGA INYONI”, which means “touch the earth like a bird”.
We believe that our overseas travellers arrive full of expectation and adventure and leave as our friends and ambassadors for Eco-tourism after going into detail about sustainable conservation and demonstratiing how we use local guides for birding trips, bushman trackers in the Kalahari Desert and river guides on the Great Zembezi River. Also encouraging trips to local Zulu kraals to learn about their unusual history and culture.
