i-to-i specialise in providing meaningful travel experiences and short course TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) training. We send over 5,000 people a year to work with important volunteer projects on 5 continents, we've trained more than 50,000 people to teach English as a foreign language and in the last 12 months we have helped more than 1,000 people find well paid teaching jobs overseas.

i-to-i Meaningful Travel
We believe that travel should be beneficial to everyone involved, which is why we work closely with locally run projects and travel partners. All of our travel experiences involve an element of volunteering.

Travel with i-to-i and you’ll spend time with local people, work with locally run volunteer projects and live in locally run accommodation. You’ll have a truly unique travel experience and return home knowing that you have made a real and lasting difference to the lives and futures of the friends you’ve made along the way.

i-to-i TEFL Courses
By training people to teach English overseas, we enable them to live and work abroad while helping the students that they teach to learn an important new skill. By learning English non-native speakers gain access to career and educational opportunities that would have been out of their reach without the English training that our TEFL graduates are able to give.

Taking a Gap Year?
i-to-i has a huge range of placements you could do as part of your gap year travels, ranging from volunteering in Africa to surfing and saving turtles in Costa Rica. If that doesn't appeal to you as part of your Gap Year you could build homes in Honduras or teach English in Uganda. Still not seen anything you that appeals to your Gap Year plans? Read on, with over 500 projects in 23 countries there is bound to be something that will make your Gap Year one to remember!

EcoTourism Policies

Respectful and informed cultural exchange is at the very heart of what we do. We do everything we can to ensure that everybody who travels with us gets all the information, guidance and support they need to make a positive contribution while they are overseas.

We only work with locally run and locally organised projects. Many commercial volunteer travel companies set up their own projects overseas to meet the demands of international volunteers. This isn't something we'd feel comfortable doing. The projects we work with are organic in the very best sense of the word: they have grown out of the needs and demands of local communities.

When overseas, you may come into contact with social differences that you do not always feel are right or morally agree with. As an organisation we do not accept or condone certain cultural behaviours and work closely with local communities to lead by example and always seek to ensure a caring and safe environment for our volunteers and the people they serve.

When you travel with us you can rest assured that the work you do will help alleviate problems that have been identified by these local communities and the NGO's that work with them.
