 Delfin Amor Eco Lodge

The Divine Dolphin is dedicated to enriching the deep connection that humans have with our animal friends, both in the ocean and on land.

On our incredible dolphin and whale encounters, you will experience the joy, love and magic that the dolphins and whales bring to us. While on land, you will experience all the wonders of the rainforest including monkeys, toucans and macaws at our very own Delfin Amor Eco Lodge.

It is an experience with nature beyond your wildest dreams! We are also dedicated to the preservation and protection of the dolphins and whales and their beautiful ocean home.

Delfin Amor Eco Lodge is honored to be offering Wild Dolphin and Whale Encounters combined with Rainforest tours in Drake Bay, Costa Rica. Drake Bay is located on the Osa Peninsula, which is on the Pacific (west) side of Costa Rica, on the southern most tip. Drake Bay is named after Sir Francis Drake who legend has it, buried treasure here on the coast.

In this very remote area (accessible only by boat), we find Pantropical Spotted Dolphins, Spinner Dolphins, Bottlenose Dolphins, Rough-Toothed Dolphins and Common Dolphins, Humpback Whales, Orcas, Pilot Whales, Sperm Whales, Sei Whales, Psuedo Orcas (False Killer Whales), giant manta rays, sea turtles and much, much more. It is a virtual marine playground! We often find ourselves surrounded by hundreds and even thousands of dolphins in our warm, clear, blue waters.

On land you will meet monkeys, toucans, macaws, iguanas, blue morpho butterflies, poison dart frogs, sloths and all the creatures of the rainforest. You will wake up to the sound of the howler monkeys and go to sleep to the sound of waves on the shore. The natural beauty found here is unsurpassed. Our tours, which combine the rich rainforests and incredible sea life, make an ecologically wild adventure beyond your wildest dreams!

Delfín Amor Eco Lodge offers lodging in our beautiful screened-in cabinas with private baths. All have ocean and rainforest views and offer comfort and privacy. Each cabina has a double bed and a bunk bed (two singles) and can sleep 2-4 persons. We have only five cabinas, keeping our lodge un-crowded and intimate.

A jungle trail runs through the property and our own private beach, straight out of a postcard, is yours for sunning, swimming and relaxing.

We provide three delicious meals per day, with fresh organic fruits and vegetables, grains, homemade bread and lots of fresh fish caught by our expert fishermen.

Fundación Delfín de Costa Rica, researching dolphins and whales, is based at Delfín Amor Eco Lodge and when you stay here, you have the opportunity to learn more about marine life from our staff of marine biologists and volunteers.

Delfín Amor Eco Lodge offers a variety of tours in the Drake Bay area, including dolphin and whale encounters, guided tours to Caño Island and Corcovado National Park, horseback riding, kayaking, SCUBA, fishing and more! For birdwatching, you only need to sit back and relax right here!

If you want to truly connect with nature, see plants and animals you have only dreamed about and have the most beautiful view imaginable, come stay with us!

Eco Policies

Our commitment to protect this area is strong. We are photographing and recording data to monitor the species found here. With this information, we can prove how teeming this area is in cetacea, including being the birthing grounds for Humpback Whales and many other species.

Every species is different and the dolphins and whales each have their own way of eating, resting, playing and interacting with us. We thoroughly enjoy every encounter with every species and appreciate and love them for their differences and similarities alike.

Our staff has a combined 30 years experience in dolphin and whale encounters, and we never chase, harass, feed or otherwise harm the dolphins and whales we encounter. We let the interactions be their choice and honor them when they choose not to interact with us.
